A girl at my tech school asked me if I knew anything about periods and pregnancy. I said I did. She asked if it was true that you can’t get pregnant three days before your period. When I explained that there is no bulletproof day, she turned to her friend and said “well, shit.”

I seriously thought girls this uneducated were urban myths and jokes on TV shows.

Well how about we focus on WHY they’re uneducated rather than shaming them for something they can’t help? If every school had comprehensive sex ed courses, maybe girls wouldn’t be coming to you with very important concerns, only to be talked down-about it afterwards on the internet.
